Present: Finerman, Rashes, Bardenstein, Liberman-Lampear, Landau, Gershowitz, Klein, Sussman, Rosenberg, Tankanow, Dobrusin
Meeting called to order at 8:05 pm

Minutes of May 24, 2006 approved as corrected
Rabbi’s Remarks: About fifty people attended the discussion regarding the proposal for support of gays and lesbians. The June 7th meeting regarding the 2007 trip to Israel was very well attended.
President’s Report: The Executive Committee has set the agenda for the annual meeting on Sunday, June 25th at 7:00PM.
Treasurer’s Report: The 2005-2006 budget (which ends June 30th) will be balanced by not fully funding the Rabbi’s Sabbatical Fund.
Old Business: Finerman stated that a firm date for dedicating the wall sculpture in the courtyard will be set as soon as she can consult with the donors, who are currently away.
New Business: (1) After discussion a motion was made by Klein and seconded by Bardenstein to hire Rabbi Sara Adler to teach the Conversion Class for $1500. There will be a fee for the class for non Beth Israel members, and any shortfall will come from the Adult Education Fund. The motion passed unanimously. (2) The need to paint the Garfunkel-Schteingart Activity Center (GSAC) was discussed. Rashes moved, seconded by Liberman-Lampear, for up to $15,000 to be drawn from the Building Fund to paint the interior and exterior of GSAC. The motion passed unanimously.
Financial Vice President’s Report: The Finance Committee has discussed a new dues structure, and Klein reported that a letter with the details will go out this summer.
Program Vice President: Sussman stated that they are continuing to interview for the position of Program Director. They will wait to find the right person.
Men’s Club: The club is looking for someone to take over the scheduling of ushers for the High Holidays.
