Family Rosh Hashanah Shofar & Tashlich Service

Tuesday, September 7, 2021 1 Tishrei 5782

4:00 PM - 4:30 PMGallup Park Playground

We'll gather at The Gallup Park Playground.  (For those who drive, there is ample parking right at the playground, and no steps!   If you're walking or bicycling, make sure to set your map to "walking" so you can take the shortcuts cars can't take.)  People who wish may show up between 3 and 4 o'clock, during which time kids can play on the many play structures, or explore or play on the fields.  We'll even have a Tashlich Scavenger Hunt for all ages.

At 4:00, we'll experience an All-Ages Friendly Rosh Hashanah Service, gathering at the gazebo with the large field extending from it.  Our Cantorial Soloist Neil Alexander will lead us in the minchah service, which features the signature melodies of Rosh Hashanah, including the special Ashrei, Avinu Malkeinu, and Amidah.  We'll then have a Shofar Service in person, and then people can find their ways to the many scenic spots for Tashlich.

Location is: The Gallup Park Playground (the second gazebo on the right).  For an exact map, click here.

If it rains, check the Beth Israel Website for a rain date later in the week.
