[All families are expected to attend the Simchat Torah celebration with families starting at 6:15pm on October 14. We also encourage people to attend the Beth Israel Brunch in the Booth event on October 12.]

September 23: Tashlich and Games (4pm) at Gallup Park Playground (bring a shofar!)

October 12: Beth Israel's Sukkot celebration Brunch in the Booth
October 14: Simchat Torah! All BIRS families expected to attend. (No BIRS October 15)
December 14: Pre-Hannukah Activities during school
January 18: Beth Israel's Mitzvah Day [on MLK Weekend]
January 10, February 2, February 23: 6th/7th Parent/Teen Sessions
February 8: World Wide Wrap
March 1: BIRS Purim Play & Teacher Appreciation
March 28-April 5 AAPS School Break
April 26: Final Day of BIRS including Student Recognition (parents and students)
BIRS Days & Time Schedule
Gan Katan/Our Little Garden (Preschool) Meets: Select Sundays from 10:00am-11:00pm
Lower Elementary Grades K-2 Meet: Sundays from 10:00am-12:00pm
Upper Elementary Grades 3-7 Meet: Wednesdays from 4:30-6:00pm and Sundays from 10:00am-12:00pm
Madrichim (Grade 8) Meet: All 8th Grade Madrichim attend Sundays (see above) from 10:00am-12:00pm.
Internships (High School): Students will work with a staff mentor in a specific area of interest. (Students will choose one of the areas below). This is a mentorship program that supports students as they actively serve the synagogue community. *All interested students must register here and be accepted for this program.
*Hours and dates for internships will vary according to track chosen.
The three Internship tracks to choose from are:
School: Teacher Assistants, Building & Supply Organization, Special Activities
Ritual: Assisting During Services, Buddies to B-mitzvah Students, Outreach for Service Parts, Special Assignments
Programming: (Special Events and Activities): Special Event Support, Youth Group Activity Support
