Beth Israel has a variety of volunteer opportunities, both within the synagogue and in the greater Ann Arbor community. Check out the list below for complete details
Fall Opportunities
Harvest in the Beth Israel Garden at County Farm Park and deliver harvested vegetables to Food Gatherers - contact Michael Simon (simonmichael725@gmail.com)
High Holiday Ushering and Greeting - Watch the BIC website for the online sign-up.
Winter Opportunities
Provide and deliver meals to the residents of Alpha House, a local shelter for homeless families in Washtenaw County - contact Meira Miller (meirabatpinchos@gmail.com)
Spring and Summer Opportunities
Plant, weed, and maintain the Beth Israel Garden at County Farm Park - contact Michael Simon (simonmichael725@gmail.com)
Purim Matanot L'Evyonim (gifts for those in need) - contact Meira Miller
* - bring canned, non-perishable food to Beth Israel
* - contribute to local and national agencies helping those in need
* - deliver contributions to Food Gatherers
Red Cross Blood Drive - contact Diane Lehman Wilson (dclonezer@aol.com) or Leonore Gerstein (lbmgerst@gmail.com)
* - call potential donors
* - donate blood or volunteer to staff the blood drive facility

* - make phone calls to match hosts and guests for Passover Seders
