Membership is open to all Jewish individuals age 18 years or older and their household. We welcome everyone regardless of race, sexual orientation, or income whether single, married, or in a committed relationship. Beth Israel is an inclusive congregation warmly welcoming interfaith families and LGBT individuals and families.

The Conservative movement continues to uphold matrilineal descent. Children born of a non-Jewish mother who are interested in claiming their Jewish identity can do so through a simple immersion in water. If you would like to discuss this further, please call and speak with Rabbi Caine at 734.665.9897.
Section C: Financial Information 
Beth Israel Congregation dues use a Fair Share system, based on household income. See the chart below for the dues pledge schedule. We are proud to welcome all regardless of finances. Please note that we request a minimum of $315 for a dues pledge. If that is not possible for you, please contact Jerry Sorokin at gsorokin@bethisrael-aa.org to discuss possible arrangements.
