The class meets on zoom on Monday afternoons from 4-5:15 beginning September 8. We will read the text in the original Hebrew or Aramaic with an accompanying English translation and discuss the text in English. No familiarity with Hebrew or prior experience studying Talmud is required. This fall and winter, we will be studying from the third chapter of the tractate of Bava Metzia which addresses issues of the obligations and responsibilities of people who are taking care of objects or animals belonging to another person.
