1:00 PM - 2:30 PMG&S 2010 BuildingThis year, Rabbi Caine is opening his popular “Intro to Judaism” course to Jews and the Jew-curious alike. Whether you’re considering identifying with the Jewish people and wish to know more, or you have Jewish family and want to learn more, or perhaps you are already Jewish but either never went to “Hebrew School” or did but realize you only got the kid version!
This biweekly course is for adults who are looking to learn anew or deepen their knowledge of the history, meanings, theologies, and practices of Judaism. What does it mean to read the Torah as an adult, develop a relationship with God and Jewish practices as an adult, see the world through a Jewish lens?
Weekly topics include “From Shepherds to Jews,” “How to Do Torah Study as an Adult,” “Kabbalah and God,” “How the Jewish Prayer service really works,” “The History of the Israel-Arab Conflict,” “”How to Mourn as a Jew,” and more!
